This beach is absolutely stunning! The scenery is breathtaking, making it feel like a tropical paradise in Crete. You have the opportunity to take a stroll along the river and even swim in it, as well as explore the palm forest. It's definitely worth a visit and shouldn't be missed. If you want to avoid the 382 steps, a simpler way to get there is to drive to Dionysos beach and walk for just 8 minutes to reach Preveli beach.
Visited this beach towards the end of September in 2019. It's a massive stretch of sand with a handful of beach bars that'll happily rent you a sun bed and umbrella for a measly 6€ a day. The tavernas on the seafront are decent enough, I suppose. Shame about the wind though, it really put a dampener on things. At least the water was clear and the beach was clean, I'll give it that. Oh, and there's free parking too. Yippee.
The most beautiful beach in Crete. Crystal clear water, bucolic landscape, excellent tavern food and in addition equipped beach and free beach. Relaxation in the round and never crowded.
In 2022 I was there for the first time. I found peace and solace that I needed so much at that time. I came back in May 2023. And I want to go back there
This seaside hamlet boasts a handful of quaint cafes and eateries, though nothing that will blow your flip-flops off.
