Camping La Foce beach

While camping amidst a vast pine forest, I discovered a serene and invigorating environment. What sets this place apart is the black sand, a result of the ancient extinct volcano of Roccamonfina. A dip in the sea felt like a direct immersion into the forest, an experience that was truly remarkable. The camping prices were quite reasonable and the managers were courteous and efficient. I would have given this place a perfect 5-star rating, but unfortunately the municipality has neglected to maintain basic infrastructure such as roads, signs, and upkeep of the Garigliano river delta.

The terrace overlooking the sea is absolutely stunning, offering a breathtaking view of the Circeo promontory and the nearby Fogliano lake. The pedestrian area is incredibly spacious and can be easily accessed via a cycle path from Latina (via del Lido). Visitors can enjoy a variety of establishments, including restaurants, bars, and hotels. For those with disabilities, there is even a beach accessible by footbridge. A delightful promenade with a wide sidewalk connects Capoportiere to Foce Verde, while a separate promenade for vehicles runs along the dua between Lake Fogliano and the sea, providing an even more natural and scenic environment. Overall, this beach is a true paradise for anyone seeking a relaxing and picturesque getaway.
