Zambrone beach

This beach is simply amazing! The sea is reminiscent of the Caribbean, and although it may not seem like it from the shore, renting a pedal boat from Lido Azzurra will take you to paradise. The structure is well-maintained, affordable, and the lifeguards are incredibly friendly. After overcoming the submerged rocks just a few meters from the shore, you'll find yourself surrounded by a vast expanse of crystal-clear blue water with a depth of approximately 6-7 meters and white sand that seems to stretch on forever. Diving here is like being transported to another world!

Spiaggia Buccarelli

The waters may not be crystal clear, and the sand may not be pristine, but such is the charm of Calabria's beaches. The sea may appear a bit turbid, and there may be some debris that washes up on shore, but this is all part of the natural beauty of the area. As you wade into the water, you may encounter some stones, but this too is part of the rugged charm of the beach. Despite these minor imperfections, there are still plenty of reasons to visit this beach. For one, there is free parking along the dirt road, making it easy to access. And while the kiosk may have been abandoned on the day of my visit, it is possible that it will be up and running again in the near future. In fact, I spotted a family renting an umbrella, which suggests that the beach is still a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

La Rada Beach

When we're in town, we always choose this beach as our go-to destination. It may not offer complete serenity or Michelin-starred meals, but it embodies the quintessential Italian beach experience. We're always made to feel welcome and secure, and the food is unpretentious yet superbly crafted - just as one would expect.

Zambrone Beach

This beach is absolutely stunning, one of the most beautiful I've ever laid eyes on! Luckily, it wasn't too crowded during my visit. However, it's important to note that there is a lengthy staircase to navigate and no options for food or drink. Additionally, there are no umbrellas available for rent. Despite these minor inconveniences, I can confidently say that the breathtaking views make it all worth it.

Michelino Beach

This beach is absolutely stunning and is definitely the top pick in and around Parghelia. It remains unspoiled and uncrowded, and if you arrive early enough, you may even have the entire beach to yourself. There are rocks scattered throughout the sea, making it an excellent spot for scuba diving. The water and beach are both immaculate. The only downside is the approximately 220 steps you must take to access the beach, and there are limited shaded areas. I highly recommend visiting this beach.

Spiaggia La Rocchetta

This is a small beach that is popular among the locals for fishing. Beyond the wall, there is a lovely little rocky bay that is not very crowded and can be accessed by a wooden staircase.
