This so-called beautiful beach is nothing more than a glorified sandbox with a few patches of sand to lounge on. The water is more turbulent than a category five hurricane, and the gusts of wind will make you feel like you're in the middle of a tornado. I'm not even sure if this is considered normal, but it's definitely not conducive to swimming. Save yourself the trouble and find a better beach to waste your time at.

What a disappointing experience we had at Vidanta! Despite having 23 pools, guests staying at the Mayan Palace are only permitted to use one pool, which happens to be the most crowded one. We struggled to find a spot by the shallow kids pool as every chair was occupied by older guests reading books. Unfortunately, we couldn't purchase day passes for our children to enjoy the kids center or find a lazy river or water slide. As first-time family vacationers, we were left feeling let down and will not be returning to Vidanta. We hope to save others from the same disappointment by sharing our experience. However, we remain optimistic and look forward to planning our next family vacation at a different destination. Vidanta, we urge you to improve your policies and amenities for families like ours.
