This location is truly remarkable, and you will not regret choosing to rent a house here. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend selecting one that is directly on the beach. The experience is truly priceless and worth every penny. I even had the chance to spend a few nights sleeping under the stars on the beach, which was an unforgettable experience.

The beach offers of pristine white sand and warm, shallow waters that vary depending on the day. On some days, there may be a presence of sargasso, but it is significantly less compared to other beaches in Yucatán. The afternoon breeze can be quite strong, but it adds to the refreshing atmosphere of the place. However, the tour to the spring may not be worth the cost as it is a short distance away and not as picturesque as expected. During my visit in late April, there were hardly any birds to spot, and the shallow waters may not be suitable for kayaking. Despite these minor setbacks, the beach charges a flat rate of 500 pesos per person, regardless of the activities you choose to do. It is unfortunate that the locals do not take care of their resources, and the once-thriving fishing industry is now limited to expensive and rare catches, with no variety like other ports along the Yucatán coast. Nevertheless, the beach remains a beautiful destination to unwind and relax.

The beach isn't too far away, although the road may be closed. However, when it's dry, it's incredibly peaceful. The location is stunning, but unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing there. The lighthouse was closed, and there wasn't a single person around. Despite that, the scenery was so breathtaking that it made the entire trip worthwhile.

Please note that lifeguards supervise 7 beaches in the state, but you should rely on more than just them, remember the elementary rules, as lifeguards are not on duty around the clock, even on equipped beaches!

Finding hotels in relative proximity to the beaches is usually fine. Many beaches have enough nearby accommodation, which gives good opportunities to choose the right place to stay.

The hottest month of the state is April - air temperature during this time warms up to 32.2°C and water up to 29.9°C in August. The coldest month is January - air temperature drops to 24.6°C and water to 24.3°C. Air and water temperature allows you to relax comfortably in the state all year round, which is enjoyed by tourists and locals.
