  • The region's beaches are mainly narrow, moderate length and have a high level of cleanliness. The most common surface is sand of bright color.
  • Usually, entry into the water is gentle, which is very good for kids. There are 105 such beaches.
  • An important clarification, 84 beaches in the region have a long intertidal zone, which means that during low tide hours you may have to travel a considerable distance. This is also something to consider if you don't want to suddenly be in the water at high tide.

Latest reviews on Mimaropa's beaches

Alito Beach
10 Evelyn Portenkirchner

This beach is a great spot to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet away from the crowds. It's a hidden gem on the island and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. The entrance fee of 30 Pesos per person seems reasonable. Additionally, they offer cooking services upon request and have a wide variety of drinks available. We suggest using a dirt bike to reach the beach as the road can be quite rough.

Nelia's Pandan Beach

To begin with, Kamayan is not just a restaurant, but also a place to stay. The bathroom is of extremely low quality and the presence of three cockroaches is quite distressing. Additionally, the room has a strong, unpleasant smell of humidity and there was karaoke singing until 3am.

Buliluyan Beach
10 Samantha Grace Mitchell

The staff was very friendly and the accommodations were incredibly affordable.

White Beach
4 Liam Kessler

The locals highly recommended White Beach as the top beach on the island, so I had high expectations, especially with so many other beautiful beaches nearby. However, I was disappointed to find that it was filled with rocks, many of the accommodations were closed, and there was an overwhelming amount of solicitation. Even while having lunch at a restaurant, multiple individuals would approach my table trying to sell various trinkets or tours. It seemed like every 40 seconds, someone would stop me while I was walking around.

Puting Buhangin Beach

While the beach is pleasant, there is a drawback in that it was formerly a mangrove forest, resulting in a multitude of large stumps for the first few hundred feet. To fully enjoy the white sandbar beyond the dead tree stumps, it's best to visit at low tide. Additionally, there is a grassy section with a hut for cooking or camping.

White Beach

When you're in Port Barton, this place is a must-visit. There are two ways to get there: by boat, which costs 150 pesos per person per ride, or by road. If you choose to walk, it will take about an hour, but if you have a bike, it will only take 20 minutes. The scenery along the trek is absolutely stunning. On your way, you can also stop by coconut beach, which is just as beautiful as the white beach but lacks any amenities. If you're bringing your bike, be cautious and remember to bring your helmet as the road is quite rocky. They will charge you around 50 pesos per person for entry. The beach itself is incredibly beautiful, with plenty of hammocks available. You can spend the entire day relaxing there. There is one restaurant on-site, which may be a bit pricey, but the food is decent.

Please note that lifeguards supervise 7 beaches in the region, but you should rely on more than just them, remember the elementary rules, as lifeguards are not on duty around the clock, even on equipped beaches!

Finding hotels in relative proximity to the beaches is usually fine. Many beaches have enough nearby accommodation, which gives good opportunities to choose the right place to stay.
