That place is a paradise for families, boasting stunning forests, a vast stretch of sand, and plenty of fun in the sun.

The beach at Luarca offers some stunning views of the town, Fonte Baxa botanical garden, the breakwater and the mountains. However, it may not be the best place for a swim. When the tide recedes, the beach is filled with algae, and when the tide rises, there is hardly any sand to be found. All that remains is a concrete bench and a ramp. also quite rocky and crowded, so if you're looking for a peaceful experience, this might not be the beach for you. I personally prefer to take photos here rather than take a dip. It's more of an urban beach, with the hustle and bustle of the town and not much of a paradise-like atmosphere. There are two areas, one narrower and one wider, near the rise of a path offering some spectacular views. The beach also has surveillance and rescue, bike parking, a fishing area, public toilets and a beach bar in its wider area

The small and serene beach is a wonderful spot to relax, but it's important to note that it may not be suitable for children under 10 due to the potentially hazardous access. During high tide, access can be cut off, which could result in being stranded until the next low tide.

This is a beautiful, untouched beach that is definitely worth a visit. However, it's unclear why dogs aren't permitted on the beach, as this seems to be the standard rule.

Frejulfe Beach Playa de Frejulfe

Stayed 1 night in our motorhome and had a great time at this beautiful beach with its golden sand. Perfect for swimming and buggy boarding, it also had beach showers at the lower carpark and lifeguards on duty. We also took a pleasant hour-long stroll along the cliff-top path to the next town.

The warmest month during the year in this area is August, with the air temperature rising up to 21.7°C and the water temperature up to 21.8°C. The coldest month is January, with the air temperature dropping down to 11.7°C and the water temperature down to 12.5°C.
