Playa de Gueirua
10 Arden Rossiter

The most stunning secluded location I have ever visited.

Playa de Cueva
8 Madeline

The perfect spot to unwind in the sun. It's great for dogs too, with plenty of space and a stunning view. Be mindful of the rocks and the wood debris wall, which seem to be the result of high tides. When travelling to and from the beach, be sure to take extra care - the roads are narrow and a bit bumpy.

Playa de Cadavedo
8 Sebastian Steele

This location is a picture-perfect destination, but it can get quite crowded. Fortunately, it is open to the public with free entry.

Playa del Silencio

This secluded rocky beach is a hidden gem. When I visited on a Monday in April, there were only two other people there. The view from the parking area is spectacular, and it is a relatively easy trek down to the beach, with a stone staircase that features a solid handrail for extra security. Furthermore, the beach is easily accessible, making it a great spot for a peaceful getaway.

Playa de la Cueva

The locals of Oviñana prefer to call it Playa de Cueva, rather than de la Cueva.

Playa la Barquera

Just a short 10-minute walk from Playa del Silencio lies this tranquil beach, though it may be a bit tricky to access. For those who are not experienced climbers, the 5-metre rope descent may be a bit daunting. But it's worth it! The views are spectacular and the journey to the beach is lined with lush greenery.
