But hey, at least you can enjoy the beach without having to mortgage your house or sell a kidney. Despite the winds that can make the rest of the island feel like a hurricane zone, this bay is usually calm. It's a decent spot for snorkeling and swimming in shallow water, so if you're into that sort of thing, knock yourself out. If you're looking to just chill and do nothing, then this beach is totally recommended. Especially if you're staying at one of the accommodations on the shore. Because why bother exploring the island when you can just lounge on the sand and sip a drink, am I right?

While not ideal for swimming, the breathtaking scenery is like something out of a postcard and the sparkling, transparent water will entice you to linger in the sea for hours on end, basking in the peaceful atmosphere. Upon arrival at the viewpoint, you'll have access to comfortable lounge chairs and a cozy bar/restaurant, ensuring that you have everything you need to fully enjoy your time at this lovely little hideaway.

We had an absolutely incredible time at Sai Daeng, and we can't understand how anyone could have anything negative to say about this place- it's simply flawless! The pictures online accurately depict the stunning beauty of this resort. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The hotel is situated in an amazing location, secluded from other properties but still conveniently close to restaurants, shops, and more with the shuttle service provided. The on-site restaurant is also outstanding- the service was exceptional, the prices were very reasonable, and the location couldn't be beat! While it's true that the resort has some hills, this actually adds to the charm of the place, and the breathtaking views that come with it wouldn't be possible otherwise. The staff is always available to assist with luggage at the beginning and end of your stay, and they do so with a friendly smile. The chaos of arriving at the port in Koh Tao is quickly forgotten once you reach the resort- it's a true paradise of tranquility. The villas offered magnificent views and had all the amenities we could ask for. Snorkeling from the resort is absolutely incredible- there are two beaches, one sandy and one rocky, perfect for snorkeling. We were able to see sharks, stingrays, turtles, stunning coral, and brightly colored fish...all right from the resort without needing to go anywhere! We are incredibly grateful for such a flawless stay. Thank you so much.

This beach on Koh Tao is definitely one of the best spots for snorkelling. It's easily accessible by bike, and there's no entrance fee. Plus, there's shade available on the beach. The fish and coral are located in the shallow water, so you won't have to venture too far out to see them. The variety of fish and sea animals is impressive, and you could easily spend an entire day here enjoying the stunning views.
