Ao Kantiang - all beaches

This Lanta beach is undoubtedly one of my top picks. Its serene ambiance, proximity to a national park, and secluded location make it an ideal retreat. The fact that it faces west only adds to its allure. There's simply nothing to dislike about this hidden gem.

This charming beach is conveniently located just off the main road and offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. During the day and afternoon, it is not overly crowded, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and soaking up the sun's rays. The beach is also a great place to catch a breathtaking sunset. You can easily reach the beach by taking a leisurely stroll or by hopping on a motorbike. If you choose to drive, parking is available at a nearby restaurant where you can enjoy a refreshing cocktail in the afternoon.

We spent the morning until noon at the beach, where the tide was at its peak and the entire stretch of sand appeared pristine and tranquil.

This beach is undoubtedly one of the finest in the region, excluding the picturesque small islands that are protected national parks and therefore not open to visitors. The vast expanse of sandy shoreline is punctuated by a scattering of rocks in the water, but the swimming conditions are perfectly safe. Unlike many other popular beaches, this one is not excessively crowded, and there are numerous restaurants in the vicinity that offer a peaceful environment where you can savor a cocktail while gazing at the sunset and listening to the soothing tunes emanating from the bars.

The southern coast of the island boasts a lovely beach that is easily accessible by motorbike. The parking area is free of charge, which is a plus. However, the entrance to the beach is not as clean as one would expect, with a significant amount of litter and debris scattered about. It's unfortunate that visitors leave behind bottles, flip flops, and other items, detracting from the natural beauty of the area.

We embarked on a delightful stroll through the forest, which takes approximately one hour to traverse. Our journey commenced from the steps adjacent to the parking area and concluded at the seaside. Although the wind was quite brisk during our visit, the experience as a whole was truly enjoyable.
