Maracas beach

This location was quite enjoyable. A helpful gentleman arranged for us to have an umbrella and comfortable chairs. The tide shifted, and the water approached our toes. The coastline was quite rocky, so it is advisable to wear appropriate footwear. The water was rather refreshing initially. Across the street, there was a snack and beverage store that served potent cocktails if you prefer. Although there were a few intimidating insects and a deceased iguana on the beach, it was not a significant issue. We savored a delicious sharkbake sandwich, multiple beverages, and had a delightful time!

This serene beach, also known as Damien's Bay 2, offers a tranquil escape with its stunning and secluded location. The lack of crowds and limited parking add to the peaceful atmosphere, allowing for a truly relaxing experience. The crystal-clear blue waters only add to the natural beauty of this hidden gem.

Saut D'eau beach

This hidden gem of a beach is absolutely breathtaking. However, if you plan on driving there, make sure your vehicle can handle the steep incline or be prepared for a challenging hike. The hiking trail is not for the faint of heart and requires physical preparation and research on how to equip for demanding trails. With steep inclines and cliff edges, this hike is not recommended for children or the elderly. But if you're up for the challenge, the reward is a stunning cove that is well worth the effort. For those who prefer an easier route, there is a short 10-minute trek down another path. Just be aware of the strong water currents. This beach is truly a natural wonder that will leave you in awe.

The shoreline is stunning, pristine, and generally devoid of crowds. However, my sole grievance is that sandflies tend to be quite bothersome and their bites can make for a rather unpleasant experience. To combat this issue, I now bring along citronella oil and baby oil to apply to my skin prior to hitting the beach, and make sure to reapply throughout my stay.
