Kumkuyu beach

The beach is absolutely stunning. The water is crystal clear, and when you swim, you can easily spot the fish swimming near the surface. During the afternoon towards the evening, the waves can get quite choppy. However, in the early morning, it is simply breathtaking. While the natural beauty of the beach is undeniable, it's disheartening to see how some people litter. Please remember not to throw garbage into the water or on the shore. On Sundays, the beach tends to get very crowded since it's a public beach. You'll encounter all sorts of people, including some who even go into the sea wearing their pajamas and underwear. If possible, I recommend visiting on weekday mornings for a more enjoyable experience.

Sultankoy beach

This beach is a true gem, boasting pristine and immaculate waters. It is managed by the Metropolitan Municipality and offers a range of amenities, including buffet services, sunbeds, showers, and WCs. The cost of two sunbeds and an umbrella is 40₺, as per the 2021 price list. However, visitors can also enjoy the beach free of charge without renting a sunbed. The surrounding area is dotted with private establishments that offer tables and serve delectable pancakes. The beach is relatively peaceful during weekdays, but it may get crowded on weekends. The waters are shallow and the seabed is free of rocks, making it an ideal destination for families with young children who prefer sandy beaches.

Ayas beach

This beach is perfectly located and comes with a charming little café that offers an array of beverages to quench your thirst. The café also serves some delectable light bites such as French fries and Turkish cuisine.

Kizkalesi beach

The Mersin and Erdemli municipalities have unfortunately failed to preserve the natural beauty of this historical beach. Despite having visited this place since childhood, every time I return, I am disheartened to see its deteriorating condition. One must tread carefully to avoid coming in contact with the litter floating in the water, which is not only unsightly but also repulsive. The lack of service and security personnel is alarming, as evidenced by the incident where a foreign tourist's child went missing while the parents were trying to shower, and no one was available to help. The frequent announcements of robberies in the area only add to the already tense atmosphere, making it difficult to relax. To make matters worse, even the air one breathes comes at a cost, with small business owners trying to extract every last penny from tourists. In conclusion, while it may be worth stopping by for a quick photo, it is best not to waste one's time and move on to other destinations.

Korykos beach

When I visited this beach three years ago, it exuded tranquility and serenity. However, presently, it is swarmed with a large crowd, making it quite noisy and chaotic. Moreover, the beach is now occupied by hookah enthusiasts, which has somewhat disrupted the peaceful ambiance of this once serene location.
