Praa Sands - all beaches

This beach is one of the best I've ever visited, anywhere. It has a similar vibe to some of the beaches in New South Wales. The sand is great, the beach is clean, and it hasn't been overdeveloped (at least not yet). There are car parking and restroom facilities available, and the new bar below the Sand Bar is a great spot to relax with a cold beer and enjoy the stunning views. It's truly beautiful.

The water remains shallow for quite a distance from the shore, making it a perfect spot for swimming and wading. However, accessing this hidden gem can be a bit of a challenge, as the original route has been closed off due to erosion. Visitors must carefully navigate the rocks from Prussia Cove/Cudden Point end, taking care to check the tide times before embarking on their journey. What a splendid trek! The beach was absolutely breathtaking. I relished in discovering the charming nooks and crannies, and strolling along the rocky terrain during low tide. However, the descent and ascent of the trail can be quite challenging for those with mobility issues.

This hidden gem is truly a remarkable spot. Perfect for a tranquil dip away from the crowds.

To start with, the beach in question is conveniently located near the main road, but it can be narrow and winding in certain areas, so be prepared to back up if necessary. Accessing the beach is a short stroll from a paid car park, which costs around £4 as of April 2019, and you'll pass by a charming beach cafe along the way. The beach itself is reachable via a set of steep steps with a railing directly in front of you or a ramp to the right, which is ideal for those with wheelchairs. The majority of the beach is sandy, with only a few rocks, making it relatively easy to walk on. There are also a few rock pools that are perfect for children to explore, and the area is exceptionally clean. However, be aware of the warning signs regarding the sandy cliffs, which are prone to collapse and may be unsafe for children to climb.
