This beach is a true gem! It's a safe haven for kids, with plenty of room to play and lifeguards on duty to ensure everyone's safety. There are also food outlets available, although the staff may not always be the friendliest. The only downside is the car park, which can be a bit of a hassle. While there are options to pay with coins or by phone, they can be slow and frustrating. Alternatively, you can pay through a smartphone app, but the reception can be spotty and the download time can be lengthy. After spending half an hour trying to pay for parking, I was left feeling quite irritable.

The parking fees are quite reasonable and can be paid with cash or debit cards. Additionally, when the tide is low, a magnificent sea pool is available for all to enjoy.

We parked at Rock Road car park and were delighted to find a great sandy beach, perfect for kids as the waters were calm and ideal for dog walking. We also had the option of walking to Daymar Bay or taking the ferry across to Padstow.

The pathway leading down to the beach is easily accessible and provides a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. Visitors are reminded to pay for parking before leaving, either by card or cash.
