Summerleaze beach

This beach is quite impressive, I suppose. The sand is a lovely shade of gold and there's a decent amount of space to frolic around in, but only if you're careful about the tide. It's a dog-friendly zone, which is nice I suppose, but it seems like there are no rules or regulations in place. There's a surplus of parking and a plethora of facilities, but it's nothing too special. If you're into that sort of thing, then I guess it's worth checking out.

Sandymouth Bay beach
10 Lila Stone

This beach is an absolute marvel with its magnificent striated red cliffs and two cascading waterfalls that grace the shore. The sheer abundance of grey pebbles and rocks is something I have never seen before. It is a tranquil and serene location that is definitely worth the journey.

Northcott Mouth beach

This is a lovely spot to visit that's a bit off the beaten path, so it's not as crowded. You can park for free, and there's a rental service nearby that will drop off and pick up surfboards. The rock pools are great for kids to explore, and we found some little fish and crabs. The walk down to the beach is a bit stony, so it's best to go when the tide is out to have more sand to explore. The RNLI also keeps an eye on things, so you can feel secure. There's a cute little tea place nearby, so you don't have to go far for a snack or drink. Overall, this was the best beach we found in Bude.

Widemouth beach

We always enjoy returning to the bay whenever we visit the Bude area. The beach is dog-friendly at the southern end and for everyone after 6:00 pm. It's a great spot for all visitors! The beach is consistently clean and patrolled by RNLI guards. There is plenty of parking and refreshments available at the back of the beach, and we have always been able to find a spot to park no matter the time of year.

This beach is truly breathtaking, and it's easily accessible for all, including those in wheelchairs. As you stroll along the pebbles and transition to the soft sand, the stunning views and great surf will leave you in awe. The water is simply fabulous, and I couldn't resist paddling in the sea for the first time in five years. It was an emotional experience that I'll never forget. When I visited Rosies cafe, I was delighted by the outside seating and the sandy play area for kids. The food was fantastic, and the prices were reasonable. Everyone was happy and smiling, which made the experience even more enjoyable. And if you're looking for a sweet treat, you won't be disappointed with the 20+ flavors of ice cream from two different manufacturers. This beach truly has everything you could ask for and more.

Welcombe Mouth beach

This location is truly amazing! However, if you are looking for a sandy beach, this may not be the ideal spot for you as there are many stones. Nonetheless, even without the sun shining, the scenery is breathtaking! It is an ideal place to relax by the fire and enjoy the beautiful sunset or take your furry friend for a walk. The car park is small, and the beach is not overcrowded, making it a perfect place to unwind. ❤️
