Southwold - all beaches

Upon our initial visit to this location, we were delighted to find a spacious parking area in close proximity to the beach. However, it is worth noting that the path leading to the beach is quite steep, which may pose a challenge for individuals with disabilities. Nonetheless, it is possible that there is an alternative route further down the shore. Once we reached the sandy beach, we were captivated by its natural beauty. It was evident that the area is well-maintained and cared for. As dog owners, we were pleased to discover that the beach is dog-friendly, making it an ideal destination for pet owners seeking a day out in the sun.

The shoreline is composed of pebbles, and the water appears to be muddied with a brown hue. It may be a suitable spot to take your furry friend for a stroll, but not much else. Additionally, there is a nuclear facility in the vicinity, but it's uncertain if it's still in operation.

This stretch of sandy paradise is an oasis of tranquility during the weekdays. However, don't forget to pack your wheels or prepare for a brisk 10-15 minute stroll to reach this hidden gem. Trust us, the effort is well worth it as you bask in the serene surroundings. So, kick back, relax, and soak up the sun on this secluded slice of heaven.

To be frank, I was a little skeptical about visiting Sizewell Beach which is located next to a Nuclear power station. But to my surprise, there were a lot of people there even on a chilly winter afternoon and some were even taking a dip in the water. Additionally, there is a lovely tearoom on site and an hour of free parking.
