This beach park is a favorite among locals, including myself, because of its natural landscape. The pedestrian paths outnumber the vehicle roads, which creates a nice separation from city life. The sand beach walk is located below street level, away from the busy Pacific Coast Highway. The trails from the parking lots wind through areas of local sage, scrub brush, and chaparral. Along the way, you can also find restroom structures. By using Google Maps Satellite View, you can easily locate the beach access and find highlights along the trail. Crystal Cove State Park is well-known for its clean sand beach and ocean. In the summertime, it's great for swimming and occasionally surfing, although body boarding is more common. Lifeguards are always present and keep a close watch. During the off season, the watch stations are moved and lined up on dry land. The waterfront is a year-round spectacle with its tide pools, which are definitely worth the hike. The beach walk is lined with ocean-carved rock formations. You can set up beach chairs, a tarp, or a towel to hold a spot and enjoy watching the waves, boats offshore, or kids building sand castles. The entrance fee for vehicles is $15, but prices may change in the summertime. The day use side is open from 6:00 am to sunset.

This beach is a fantastic spot to hang out with friends, family, or even by yourself. It offers a wide range of activities to keep you entertained or simply unwind and chill. You'll find numerous shops and restaurants, as well as bike rentals. Additionally, there is a spacious park area with benches where you can enjoy a picnic. For the little ones, there is a small playground nearby, and restrooms are conveniently located. Lifeguards are always present, ensuring safety. While finding parking may require some patience, the wait is not excessively long, usually around 15 minutes or less. I highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful time strolling along the expansive beach, which didn't give off a touristy or overcrowded vibe. Additionally, we managed to discover a few seashells during our walk.

This beach is an ideal spot to take your kids for a refreshing swim. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, but that's typical for a popular destination. You can park on the streets or in the parking lot near Merrimac park entrance for a fee of $7. The beach was remarkably tidy, and there were volleyball nets located in front of the beach homes on the hilltop. I visited on a Sunday, and the ride there was delightful, with a stunning view of the area. Lifeguards were present throughout the beach, and there were plenty of recycling and trash cans available. Fortunately, most people kept their areas clean, making this one of the cleanest beaches I've ever visited. This is an excellent destination to revisit throughout the summer. Although it can get crowded with surfers, you must be cautious when they discover a good spot with waves to ride, no matter how small. Overall, I had a fantastic time with my family and would highly recommend this beach.

The beach offers of constant sunshine and ideal waves for surfing. It is quite spacious, ensuring that there is always a spot available to relax.

This is an ideal spot to soak up some positive energy from the ocean's ions. It would be even better if there were a restaurant located at the end of the pier.
