The journey there may be a bit of a rollercoaster ride, with winding roads and gusty winds, but once you arrive, the view of the ocean is absolutely stunning. The Jalama Beach Store has everything you need, from essentials to the famous Jalama burgers - you won't go hungry here! However, don't expect to be glued to your phone as the cell service is a bit spotty, but you can always connect to the basic wifi at the store. If you're looking to camp, be sure to arrive early as it's first-come, first-serve after reservations are filled. The restrooms are clean and the playground is new, making it a great spot for families. For those seeking a little more luxury, there are a couple of cabins available with breathtaking views from the hilltop. Take a leisurely stroll along the beach and soak in the stunning scenery and unique geology. So, if you're looking for a hidden gem to escape the chaos of everyday life, this is the spot for you!

The stunning Minuteman beach captivated me with its serene beauty and I was fortunate enough to discover a plethora of sand dollars during my visit. While the Western Snowey Plover season from March to September results in the closure of a significant portion of the beach, there is still ample space to relish the beach's charm. If you have access to the base, this is an absolute must-visit destination.
