Little Sur River Beach

The vista from the highway lookout is truly stunning! I didn't notice any clear path down to the shore, and since there were no other people around, I decided not to take any chances. The best way to appreciate this beach is from above, as it allows you to capture the river's beauty in all its glory. It's a one-of-a-kind formation that's definitely worth a quick stop of 2-3 minutes. However, be cautious as the lookout is situated around a blind turn. This beach appears to be relatively tranquil, with no massive waves crashing against the coast.

The state beach park area is truly stunning. However, parking can be a bit challenging as there are only limited spots at the end of a windy 10-minute drive from Highway 1. A park ranger is present to inform visitors if the parking area is full, but you'll have to be quick to take advantage of any available spots. There's a designated waiting area at the entrance for this purpose. Despite the wait, it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Big Sur!

What a splendid seaside retreat! But shh, let's keep it our little secret, shall we? No need to overcrowd this idyllic spot. The sun, sand, and sea are all yours to enjoy in peace. Just don't go blabbering about it to everyone and their grandma, or we might have to share our slice of paradise.
