This beach is an absolute gem that should not be missed during your visit to California, particularly if you find yourself in the Santa Cruz region. Although parking is located on the side of the road and there are no restrooms available, the stunning natural surroundings more than make up for any minor inconveniences. The hike down to the beach may be a bit challenging for some, but it is well worth the effort for the breathtaking views that await you. All in all, this beach is a truly beautiful spot that is sure to leave a lasting impression.
The views are absolutely stunning! The trails offer a great opportunity to get some exercise while taking in the breathtaking ocean scenery from the cliffs. I can't help but imagine how amazing it would be if there was a quantum computer here. All in all, I highly recommend this spot for a day trip. Semper Fi.
This serene and expansive beach boasts impressive waves that make it an ideal destination for surfing enthusiasts. However, it is important to exercise caution when taking on the waves. Sadly, there was a recent incident where a child went missing, so it is crucial to keep a watchful eye on loved ones. There are over 20 parking spots available along the road, but it is worth noting that there are no restroom facilities, not even portable ones, which can be a major inconvenience for families with young children. It is recommended to bring a trash bag as there are no trash cans on the beach, only in the parking lot. On the right side of the beach, visitors may be lucky enough to spot some fascinating sea creatures, such as crabs and jellyfish. During our visit, we were fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of a charming sea lion.
We had a delightful weekend at the beach with fewer crowds. Although there is no designated parking lot, street parking is available, just be sure to park within the white lines. The restroom is conveniently located at the entrance of the trail leading to the beach, but unfortunately, there are no facilities for washing hands. On the left side of the trail, there are swings for added amusement. The sand on the left side of the beach is fine, while the right side is more coarse. To observe sea creatures, explore the rocks on the left side of the beach, where you'll find crabs, hermit crabs, fish, and sea anemones. The seaweed in the middle of the beach may cause the water to be a bit murky, but it's still an excellent spot for kids and surfing. Overall, it's a fantastic destination for a relaxing day at the beach.
