To gain access, interested parties must apply for a permit via the base's website and pass a background check, for a fee of $11. Card pickup is available on Tuesdays. While the scenery is undoubtedly breathtaking, it's important to do your research beforehand, as military ID checks have been known to occur frequently in the past few months.
