Latest reviews on Waycross's beaches

Driftwood beach
10 Sara Jane Anderson

The view is absolutely breathtaking. This beach is truly unique and unlike any other! It's not ideal for spending the entire day as the 6-foot tide will wash away the small amount of sand available during low tide. However, it's definitely worth taking a short walk to reach this beach as it offers a stunning photo opportunity, especially during sunset. Even during the middle of the day, the beach is still incredibly beautiful. Certain areas have rocks, while others are suitable for a quick swim. Although the water is not crystal clear, it is pleasantly warm. I also noticed some dogs on leashes enjoying their time there.

Shark Tooth Beach

The vast open field features a playground where children can frolic and enjoy themselves. Additionally, there is a miniature putt-putt golf course located adjacent to the playground. For convenience, public restrooms are available, and parking is conveniently located nearby. Numerous shops and eateries are within walking distance, and several pavilions line the boardwalk. For an enjoyable experience, bring your bikes and take a ride to the fort, an excellent way to spend a day at the beach.
