Roosevelt Beach

This solitary tree on the beach exudes a mystical aura, making it the ideal spot to witness a stunning sunset. It was by sheer chance that we stumbled upon this hidden gem on a cloudy day, which turned out to be the most awe-inspiring sunset we had ever witnessed. The beach is scattered with numerous oyster shells, adding to its natural charm. The tranquil waters are so serene, beckoning visitors to take a dip and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature.

Pryibil Beach

This was my go-to beach as a kid. The water is tranquil and the atmosphere is serene, making it perfect for doing laps. However, it's exclusive to Glen Cove residents only. If you're visiting someone who lives there, you can get a guest pass from City Hall.

North Hempstead Beach

The beach is quite basic, with average quality sand. The water, well, it's located at the far end of Manhasset Bay where all the boats and industries discharge their waste. I'm not implying that you'll undergo any mutations after swimming, but it wouldn't hurt to count your fingers afterwards. However, I appreciate its proximity and the fact that the children have fun at the playground and in the sand. The facilities are well-maintained and the area is safe.

Bayville Beach
10 Aurora Valtierra

This location is a must-visit, especially during sunset when you can capture a picturesque moment. The beach is situated on the Long Island Sound and provides a panoramic view of the Connecticut coastline. However, due to its location on the north shore, the sand can be a bit rocky and shell-filled, so it's advisable to wear shoes or sandals. Nonetheless, the beach's natural beauty is worth the minor inconvenience.

Beekman Beach

This is a fantastic spot to soak up the sun during the summer and autumn months. It's pleasantly uncrowded, and the individuals in the vicinity are friendly.

Stehli Town Beach

The North Shore Beach is absolutely fantastic! It's perfect for watching the sunset and taking a refreshing swim. However, it's important to remember to bring water shoes due to the rocky terrain. Additionally, there are plenty of options for food and drinks just across the street, making it an ideal spot to spend the day. We had such a great time that we're already looking forward to returning! :)
