We took our dog there in the morning, and it was absolutely delightful.

The room we were given was really old-fashioned and the carpet was filthy. It was surprising for us to see a hotel room in such a state. We approached the front desk to request a different room, and that's where we encountered Nickel. He was incredibly polite, friendly, nonjudgmental, and apologetic. He promptly arranged for us to switch to a far more comfortable room, which brought us immense joy, especially considering we hadn't been able to take a vacation in four years due to the pandemic. Nickel truly understands the importance of providing exceptional service and is an outstanding employee who greatly benefits your company. I must also mention that Jimmy the bellman was absolutely fantastic!

The location was great, but unfortunately, that's about the only positive thing I can say. The room was disgusting. Despite calling ahead a few weeks in advance, I was told that I couldn't add another night because the room wasn't available. However, I later discovered that it was still available to book online for our dates. I used the online chat and they were able to book it for me without any issues. Upon arrival, the room had a strange smell. As I walked through, it became evident that the room had not been cleaned. There was food stuck to the countertops, and both food and sand were still present in the chairs. The bathroom was dirty, and the shelf where they had placed "clean" towels hadn't been wiped in ages. The curtains had stains and holes, emitting a peculiar odor. There were also stains on the sheets and pillows, and the floor was extremely dirty. I understand that it's difficult to completely eliminate every grain of sand at the beach, but this room had clearly not been touched. I always bring cleaning supplies because I have a one-year-old who tends to touch everything, so I ended up cleaning everything myself. However, my husband had to go out and buy a mop. The staff offered to send housekeeping, but at that point, it was easier for us to do it ourselves. The same situation applied to the pools. I specifically chose this place because I wanted plenty of water activities for my one-year-old, but they were poorly maintained. There was gunk built up around the edges, excessive debris floating in the water (not just grass and leaves), and sand at the bottom. I've stayed at many beachfront properties before, so I understand that some guests may not clean off properly before entering the pool, but the lack of maintenance was evident. We particularly enjoy lazy rivers, and I always look for that when booking a place, but it wasn't functioning and was closed. At around 11:25 last night, the smoke alarm started chirping due to a low battery. My husband tried to remove the battery so that it wouldn't wake up our baby, but that didn't resolve the issue. So, I called the front desk. I was informed that maintenance had already left for the day, but security would bring up a new battery. I waited by the door for 25 minutes, hoping they wouldn't wake up the baby, but nobody ever showed up. Frustrated, my husband went down to the front desk, where he was told that they didn't have a battery. When he questioned why nobody had informed us, the staff member simply stared at him. He eventually walked away and went to a nearby gas station to buy a battery so that we could finally get some sleep. I'm extremely disappointed. I booked this as a gift for my mom, who takes care of our baby while we work, and it's disheartening that our experience has been so unpleasant. I definitely would not recommend this place and will not stay here again.
