Playa El Mezquital

This beach is a true gem, especially if you visit during the weekdays. However, keep in mind that there are limited stores open and it can be a bit of a challenge to locate a restroom. Additionally, there is a small fee of $10 pesos to use the facilities. Despite this, the beach is refreshingly empty and impeccably clean, making it a must-visit destination. The road leading to the beach is narrow but well-maintained, and you can easily find it by following the small sign on the left-hand side of the road that reads Playa and points towards the dirt road.

This place is incredibly serene and soothing. The beaches are absolutely stunning, just like the water. There are convenient facilities like public bathrooms, showers, and ample parking. The visitors center is impeccably maintained and the park rangers there are not only friendly but also well-informed. Take pleasure in the sandy shores, the crashing waves, and the wonderful natural surroundings! 😊😊

You can bring your vehicle with you for a fee of $14 at the entrance. The beach is stunning and well-maintained.

Isla Blanca beach

This beach is a total zoo, packed to the gills with families galore. But hey, at least the restrooms and outdoor showers are top-notch. Just make sure you bring your wallet, because everything else here costs a pretty penny. If you're lucky enough to snag a BBQ pit early in the day, you'll be grilling alongside the masses. But beware, parking can be a nightmare later on, even though it's technically free after you fork over the $12 park entry fee. On the bright side, this beach is perfect for little ones since the water is shallow. Just make sure to BYO floatie and fill it up for a measly $2 at the rental spot where you can also grab a snack. If you're feeling fancy, you can rent a beach chair and umbrella for a whopping $35. The water may be chilly, but at least there are plenty of shells to hunt for. And the best part? There are way fewer sea creatures washing up here compared to other nearby beaches. It's a hit with LatinX families who come to soak up some sun and surf. Just be sure to have your papers in order and watch your speed on the drive back, as Border Patrol is everywhere.

Upon arriving at the beach, we opted to park our rental car on the road and walk in. The beach itself was a sight to behold, with its stunning natural beauty captivating our senses. We were delighted to discover an abundance of shells scattered along the shoreline, making for an enjoyable shell picking experience. Despite visiting on a Saturday before noon, the beach was surprisingly peaceful and uncrowded.
