Ramada beach

Tidelands is a wonderful part of Crystal Beach and Bolivar Peninsula that is perfect for families. It is more family-oriented than the beach area to the West and is also conveniently located near stores, gas stations, and restaurants, unlike the East sections of the beach. Unlike other subdivisions, Tidelands has two entrances that provide car access to the beach. Additionally, the beach is well-maintained by Galveston County, with large trash cans and a public-use toilet available at the Stinagree Rd entrance to the east. The subdivision and beach area are also taken care of by the full-time residents and HOA community. If you need to rinse the sand and salt off your car after a trip to the beach, there is a car wash near the entrance on the Hwy 87 side of Tidelands. And if you happen to be there during a holiday, don't miss the fantastic firework shows on the beach, courtesy of the Sandy Shores subdivision next door. Just be aware that the beach area will be blocked off on the day of the show. Enjoy your stay at Tidelands!

One of the best things about this beach is the lack of crowds in the mornings on weekdays. It's an ideal spot for a peaceful walk. However, there aren't many intact shells to collect as the rough waves tend to break them up. Nevertheless, the scenery is beautiful. It's important to note that swimming is not recommended due to dangerous riptides. On a positive note, there are restrooms scattered throughout the area and ample parking available.

We never tire of visiting this beach! As you approach from Winnie (High Island), continue past the initial light sea foam green house and look for the entrance just before the second house. The sand is compacted, so there's no need to fret about getting stuck. Additionally, there are Johnny on the spot facilities available. Before arriving at the beach, stop by the store opposite the fruit stand after crossing the bridge to obtain a beach pass sticker, which will enable you to park on the beach for a full year!

The beach offers ample space and is free to access. Visitors are welcome to bring their own chairs or tents to enhance their experience. Seagulls are a common sight on the beach, adding to its natural charm. Additionally, there are plenty of free parking spots in close proximity, making it easily accessible. The sea breeze is a constant presence, making for a pleasant visit.
