Bay Island - all beaches

Who needs food on the boardwalk when you can stroll through the pristine and immaculate walkway? The lack of greasy burger joints and funnel cake stands only adds to the charm of this seaside paradise. And don't worry about going hungry, just take a quick jaunt down the parallel street and you'll find everything your heart desires. Plus, parking is a breeze with the convenience of apps. Unlike those other tourist traps, this beach boasts only franchise hotels directly on the boardwalk. It's a refreshing change from the private establishments of the Jersey shore or Ocean City, Maryland. Soak up the sun, enjoy some delicious eats, and mingle with the friendly locals - this beach has it all!

The beach is quite spacious, with shallow waters that are ideal for children and plenty of secluded areas for privacy. However, the water may not be very clear and can be cold.

This beachfront spot is my top pick for public access to the ocean. It offers the convenience of parking and a stoplight, making it a hassle-free destination for a day of seaside fun.

The shoreline is absolutely delightful and it's a tad less crowded than the typical tourist hotspots in Virginia Beach. However, there are limited options for disposing of garbage and I witnessed a near-miss incident where someone almost stepped on a concealed fish hook in the sand. Exercise caution while visiting and it's advisable to wear sandals or flip flops when traversing the beach.

This stunning and immaculate beach is an exceptional destination that I strongly urge you to visit with your loved ones, furry friends, or for a leisurely stroll or jog. Its picturesque scenery is simply breathtaking, and if you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the playful dolphins that often grace us with their presence.
