About Lake Maggiore

Some general information about Lake Maggiore. It is located in Switzerland (Ticino), Italy (Piemont and Lombardy), total area - 212.5 km², the maximum depth is 372 meters.

The coast of Lake Maggiore is a real find for lovers of clean turquoise water and magnificent scenery.

The coastline of Lake Maggiore is mostly straight, but the absence of winding shapes is compensated by the abundance of natural vegetation that is often present in the region. The lake has a lot of stones, so it's a good idea to wear water shoes if you plan on swimming. In June, from around 4 to 8 p.m., there tends to be strong winds and heavy rain in the afternoon. Make sure you're back home before then.
