Driving along the “ghost town” – a sealed-off area where entry is forbidden – we’ll arrive at the only accessible section of Varosha. Here, you’ll have the rare opportunity to walk through the abandoned city and down to the stunning sandy beach, once a bustling paradise where people swam and sunbathed carefree. Varosha experience is designed to allow you the maximum time to explore this deserted holiday resort called Varosha. This was once the holiday resort for the rich and famous during the 1970s including Raquel Welch, Brigitte Bardot, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton to mention a few. Since 1974 this holiday resort had become empty due to the comflict during that year. Not only the hotels were affected but shops, bars and residential homes remain empty.
