Visit Vergina (or Aige in ancient Greek), which is located only 82 km away from Thessaloniki, in central Macedonia. Vergina is Unesco World Heritage Site, where among the other antiquites you will have the chance to see the nicely preserved tomb of King Philip II (father of Alexander the Great) and the tomb of Alexander IV (son of Alexander the Great). Then you will visit the city of Veria, stroll around its narrow preserved quorters, see the altar of Apostle Paul, visit the Orta Mosque and check the oldest Synagoge in the Balkans. Also, free time for lunch in one of the many taverns of Veria and return to Thessaloniki in the afternoon.

Starting at 10:00 in the morning from the Port of Kavala, we can sail into the island of Thasos or the bay of Kavala and return at 20:00 in the afternoon. Kavala Bay route: Irakleitsa, Vrasidas Ammolofoi and Snake Island are the stops we will make during our cruise.
