A visit to Panormitis Monastery is a must experience! This convenient transfer, budget friendly provides pick ups from Pedi bay and from the Bus stop at the village of Symi. The current monastery complex was constructed in 1783, replacing the earlier chapel. It is a majestic structure with a blend of architectural styles, including Byzantine and Venetian influences. The monastery is renowned for its towering bell tower, which is the largest Baroque-style bell tower in the world. Also, there are two museums, one ecclesiastical and one secular for both visits. Enjoy a peaceful atmosphere of this holy place walking around and light a candle for good luck!
If you choose our self guided tour you can follow our suggested route (Panoramic view of Symi’s harbor-Windmills-Pedi-Gialo- Nimborio) or you’re free to explore the island of Symi! You can ride your e-bike wherever the road goes with minimum effort. There are no restrictions regarding the destination, and you can visit all the sightseeings that Symi has to offer . We’ll be happy to give you directions and suggestions, so feel free to ask whatever you want! If you choose our Guided Tour you are going to get proper guidance with some interesting facts and information about the island while visiting the most important settlements of Symi and take amazing pictures of the breathtaking views Symi has to offer.
The boat departs from tourist port approximately at 09:00. The ship will arrive at Symi Island port after approximately 1+1/2 hour and remains there for 3+1/2 hours. The guests will be having a guided tour along the narrow streets of the village Yalos and the opportunity to visit the local sponges and spices shops. Afterwards the guests can have lunch at traditional restaurants and can have free time to spend on their own, where they can explore the village and take some beautiful photos. Afterwards the ship will sail to the next stop, Panormitis Monastery. They will have about 45 minutes to visit the monastery. At ship will arrive at Rhodes port and from there coach will transfer the guests back to their accommodation.
