LCSD Public Beach is just a brief and enjoyable 10-minute stroll away from the Mui Wo ferry terminal. Once the Covid limitations are lifted and the amenities are available, this beach will be a fantastic destination with high-quality changing rooms, refreshing showers, and clean restrooms.

Despite its allure, the sand can be a bit rough on the feet, making it less than ideal for barefoot strolls. Additionally, the water may not meet your expectations, particularly if you're hoping for crystal-clear conditions. I had the pleasure of visiting this beach on a beautiful afternoon in September 2022. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the top-notch amenities and the attentive lifeguard service. As I ventured into the water, I swam along the buoy line of the designated swimming area, taking in the serene atmosphere of the beach. Although there weren't any floating platforms, the calm waters made for a relaxing and enjoyable swim. Overall, this beach provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful day by the sea.

This particular beach, while nice enough, does have a bit of a downside - the water is a tad on the murky side. And don't even get me started on the canine population.
