Hi, I'm Karin, founder of daslebenspueren.at. I organise and accompany guided hikes in the vicinity of Vienna. With a maximum of 4 people, the groups are small and private. We will enjoy spectacular views on vineyards, the Danube and the surrounding UNESCO protected landscapes while following antique wine trails. Enjoy a leisurely hike through the picturesque Eichkogel/Anninger region – alongside friendly alpacas and llamas. This two-hour guided hike, which starts near the panoramic restaurant in Mödling, is perfect for families, birthday parties or group outings. Take a break halfway along the way to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and build a bond with your fluffy companions. Featuring a variety of enchanting animals – such as Frodo, Sam and Gimli – this unique experience offers the opportunity to connect with nature and learn about these fascinating creatures. This trip leads us to the stunningly beautiful Ötschergräben, also called the “Grand Canyon of Austria”. Before we start our hike in the surrounding hills, we visit the famous medieval town of Durnstein. The hiking trail is considered one of the most beautiful in the whole Wachau region and offers fantastic views over the valley. The unique landscape has an almost Mediterranean touch with its holm oak forests. As well, we will visit the striking and well-preserved castle ruins of Durnstein before ending the day in one of the local wine taverns (optional).
