The Jewish tour of Recife and Olinda is a very special experience for those interested in learning more about the presence of Jews and new Christians in Recife – in the 16th and 17th centuries. The Guide historian will take you to know the main milestones of the Jewish presence in Brazil and about the Brazilian colonial economy, the religious culture of the Brazilian people and about the European wars that brought Portuguese Jews from the Netherlands during the 17th century. In Olinda we will visit some of the main churches, markets and streets of the colonial period and main vestiges of the Marrana presence in Brazil in the 16th century, in addition to the house of Branca Dias, and a mikveh (purification tank) that is representing the "marrana" cultural resistance in the colonial era. . Leaving in the morning, we pass by the main beach of Jeri and arrive at Praia do Mangue Seco, 5km from Jericoacoara. The Lençóis Maranhenses sand dunes are located on the eastern coast of Maranhão. The tour departs from the municipality of Barreirinhas which is the main gateway to this fantastic natural beauty. The Lençóis Maranhenses National Park is considered a rare geological formation on the planet, presenting a unique and very rich ecosystem. The dunes span from the coast to 15 miles inland, and in between the sand dunes are countless clear lagoons. These lagoons are formed with the rains of the rainy season that ranges from December to July. This tour will take you to this grand, unique National Park. We visit one of the different lagoons depending on time of year: Lagoa Azul (May to August) or Lagoa Esperança (September to April).

The tour begins when the schooner leaves the Nautical Terminal towards the first island. A contemplative journey within the Baía de Todos os Santos, at the exit we have the São Marcelo Fort, the city of Salvador seen from the sea, the Itapagipe peninsula, Monte Serrat Fort, the Bonfim Church and other attractions. We head towards Ilha dos Frades where calm, crystal clear waters invite us to take a swim, there are natives as well as a snack and a cold drink, we stay for around 2 hours. Next we go to Itaparica Island. Where we will have lunch at a restaurant on the beach, a buffet with good homemade food. Then just relax on the sand or warm waters of the Itaparica sea. At 3:30 pm our guide begins boarding. On the way back, you can enjoy the sunset at our Todos os Santos Bay. Time: SSA-Frades 1:40; Frades-Itaparica 0:40; Itaparica-SSA 1:10.
