This tour is designed by a born and raised Nuremberg local. It includes the history of the rally grounds, as well as a brief overview of the Nuremberg laws and Nuremberg trials. Beside the historical aspects we also discus Nurembergs way to deal with its Nazi-heritage and how the 3rd Reichs history is reflected in our modern education, collective memory and culture.
For nearly four centuries, the crown, sceptre, and orb of the Holy Roman Empire were locked inside a hospital chapel in this city — until Napoleon's army forced their evacuation and Hitler ordered them brought back. This self-guided audio tour of Nuremberg traces the stories behind that kind of history across 22 stops. From the medieval Meat Bridge engineered like Venice's Rialto to the tunnels where citizens hid priceless art from Allied bombs, this Nuremberg walking tour covers 600 years of empire, rebellion, and reinvention. You'll stand where the Reformation took hold, walk a corridor of pillars confronting the city's darkest chapter, and discover a fountain built to disguise a subway vent. The app guides you stop by stop with maps and narration — no fixed start time, no group to keep up with. Pause for a Bratwurst, linger in a Gothic church, or skip ahead. Over 20,000 travelers have used our self-guided tours, and a full refund guarantee means there's nothing to risk.
We offer a comfortable transfer all over the metropol area Nuremberg. Punctuality and reliablity are guaranteed!

Hello and welcome to Nuremberg. As a Nuremberg native, I would be happy to present you my hometown. The focus will be on Nuremberg's "Golden Age" of the late Middle Ages with its craftsmen, traders and patricians. We visit, among other things, the main market, Kaiserburg and Tiergärtnertorplatz as well as Nuremberg's most beautiful half-timbered street. Of course, we also learn about Germany's greatest artist, Albrecht Dürer, and other personalities who shaped Franconia's capital. Unfortunately, a direct path from Nuremberg's "Golden age" leads to its romantic transfiguration and to the misuse of the city's reputation for the National Socialist "Party Rallies" and ultimately to complete destruction in the WWII. But this shouldn't be the end. The reconstruction of Nuremberg gave the city back its identity. It would be a pleasure to guide you through Nurembergs history and culture. Of course, you will receive all the information you need about your stay, including recommendations on restaurants and other sights. See you in Nuremberg.
Nuremberg was founded in 975 and grew into the second-largest city in medieval Germany. On this private walking tour, I take you through the Old Town where over 1,000 years of history are still visible in the walls, churches, and alleys. We start at the Old Town Hall, walk through medieval lanes and across bridges that are over 500 years old, past Gothic churches among the oldest in Germany, and end at the Imperial Castle with a panoramic view over the entire city. I am a historian based in Nuremberg. Instead of listing facts, I connect each place to the people who shaped it: emperors at the castle, merchants at the market, and Dürer who made this city famous across Europe. I also show you what survived the destruction of 1945 and where the line between original and reconstruction runs today. The tour is private. You set the pace and the focus. At the end, I give you personal recommendations for restaurants, museums, and anything else for your stay.
