Except for the sea and the view, the rest is not good. It's a quiet place. It used to be better quality and livelier. The breakfast is expensive and has little variety compared to a military zone. Lunch is the same way. Most of the showers are broken. Working showers also provide little water. The doors of the dressing rooms are broken. There is no product in the market. Fast food food is of poor quality, long queues are required.
If you have a military card, one of the facilities where you can swim in the sea on a daily basis in Izmir is Ilıksu Military Camp. For day entry, you need to make a reservation one day in advance (starting at 7 am). At the entrance, you pay a fee depending on the number of people and receive your daily vehicle entrance card. The number written on the card is the number of the sun loungers you can use. Since the sun loungers are spread over a large area (except some weekends) it is never "too crowded". After leaving your car in the parking lot, you are taken to the beach with a mini shuttle ride that takes a few minutes. There are breakfast (serves until 11 o'clock), pick-and-go lunch (gulf restaurant), places that prepare fast food, different areas where you can drink tea and coffee, and bars where you can drink beer. For dinner, you can choose the pick-and-go restaurant or dine in the ala carte restaurant by making a reservation in advance. There are also corners such as kiosks selling corn, stuffed mussels, etc., children's playgrounds and mini markets. You can also use the hot water rooms, which give the place its name, by paying a separate fee. All the staff are very kind and helpful. You can spend a whole day with pleasure and swim a lot in the sea.
