Valencia, Playa de la Malvarrosa, very long city beach, about; 4 kilometers of fine sand located near the port of Valencia. It is the most famous and best-known of all the beaches in Valencia and has inspired great artists. It got its name when it was transformed from a swampy area into a hollyhock flower plantation in the middle of the 19.th century. What a change! It was the first place where the melody of "La chica de ayer", a mythical song by Spanish singer Antonio Vega, was heard.
It's a very wide beach with plenty of space and soft sand. The shore provides enough travel for a gradually water level increase which is a nice to have for any beach. Unfortunately the beach was not so clean, at least not when we arrived. Maybe they clean it every morning and this is because of the people that have no respect but it did not look as a beach that is being cleaned daily.
