A very nice campingsite for families. Great for kids 0-18 they will find other kids to play with within minutes. When you go by caravan look well at the pitch size. 80m2 is quite small but just sufficient. You'll have to book in time else it's full. Very friendly staff. There is a shop at the campingsite which has fresh baken bread every morning.
We stayed this summer on a premium pitch with private sanitary facilities at Camping Les Rivages in Millau. The pitch was spacious and looked well-maintained at first glance, but we soon encountered several clear shortcomings. The sink was clogged, and we heard from others that this issue occurred in multiple cabins. Friends who were staying here for the second year in a row noted that some defects had been present before and had not been addressed during winter maintenance. That’s disappointing, especially when you pay extra for supposed added comfort. The swimming pool was rather small for a campsite of this size. There is a separate adults-only pool with a jacuzzi, but for us as a family, this setup added little value. Our two calm teenage daughters wanted to use the jacuzzi for a while but were promptly sent away by the lifeguard. On a family campsite, you expect a bit more flexibility—especially when the children are not causing any disruption. This strict separation feels more like exclusion than a measure for peace and quiet. A bigger issue was the nighttime disturbance. A footpath to the town of Millau runs alongside the premium pitches, and at night it turns into a route for partying youngsters. We were repeatedly woken up by shouting, breaking glass, and noise late into the night. While there is a night watch, they seemed to take no action. That’s a missed opportunity. If you pay extra for a premium experience, you should at the very least expect a good night’s sleep. According to returning visitors, the campsite was better managed when it was still part of Yelloh. That matches our own impression: there’s a lack of upkeep and care. The current pricing is just about acceptable, but with the planned rate hikes for next year, we feel the overall value is no longer there. Price and quality are out of balance if the basics—sanitation, peace, and customer service—aren’t properly addressed. The region around Millau is beautiful and ultimately saved our holiday. But for us, this was a one-time stay at Camping Les Rivages. The area deserves better, and next time we’ll look for a campsite that offers a true balance between comfort, tranquillity, and family-friendliness.
