I absolutely adore this place. I've been coming here on and off for the past three decades. Nowadays, I make it a point to bring my daughter Georgie every Sunday so she can have a blast playing around.
There is a small carpark across the road from the beach, right opposite the access path that leads to the soft sand beach at the northern end. At this location, there is a dog water station, a beach rinse off shower, and a lost and found. They also provide plenty of bags and bins.
Overall, it is a nice dog beach. The only downside is that some other owners tend to forget to stay close enough to their dogs to give verbal commands, keep an eye on their own dog, or carry a lead with them.
We intentionally chose a time when it was known to be quiet, as there were still some behavioral issues that needed to be addressed. Unfortunately, the actions of other owners along the 2km stretch of the beach forced us to leave early.
