In Las Cuevas you board a boat that takes you on a 15-minute ride to one of the most beautiful natural beaches of the world. The sands of Bahía de las Aguilas is pristine and the bay covers 8 km. Experience an exceptional coastal landscape with crystal clear water shining in shades reaching from turquoise to opal-blue melting into the horizon. During the approximately two-hour drive to Lake Enriquillo, you will stop at a scenic viewpoint that is ideal for capturing impressive landscape photographs. Lake Enriquillo is one of the country’s most striking natural landscapes and lies about 40 metres below sea level. The region is characterized by a hot, dry climate, yet springs and small rivers make certain areas surprisingly fertile. You will then take a boat trip on the lake, heading first to a section of the shoreline where there is a good chance of observing crocodiles in their natural habitat. On the return journey, you will visit the village of Neyba, known for its wine production, as well as Las Marías, a popular gathering place for locals. Here, you will enjoy a traditional local lunch. Afterwards, your driver will take you back to your hotel in a relaxed manner.
