One of the most remarkable Maya archaeological sites in Central America, Copán Ruins is located in western Honduras, overlooking a tributary of the Motagua River. Reached via a scenic 5-hour drive from San Salvador, it is an ideal full-day cultural experience. Copán is renowned for its finely carved temples, ceremonial plazas, stelae, ball court, tunnels, and the famous Hieroglyphic Stairway, the longest known Maya inscription. Flourishing between 400–800 A.D., it was a major cultural center. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering a deep journey into Maya history. Pick-up time depends on your location.
