The beach is lovely and secluded, but it's disappointing that there are only 20 parking spots available. It's unfortunate that the Byron Bay council prioritizes issuing $110 fines on Christmas Day instead of addressing the real issue of limited parking.
Watch out for parking. We received a fine for parking on a side street near the parking lot because all the spaces were taken. It's disappointing to drive 15 minutes on a gravel road only to find no available parking spots. We safely parked our car on a side street with other drivers and ended up getting fined. They really need to ensure there are enough parking spots in this situation. However, the beach itself is stunning!
Unfortunately, we didn't spot the Hemsworths, but this beach is absolutely stunning! The tide was high, allowing us to explore the caves, and the water was gorgeous. The kids had a blast playing here.
The beach is stunningly secluded, and there's a chance you might have it all to yourselves. Although it's not very large and the access is quite steep, even I was able to manage it. The carpark is just a dirt road and not very spacious, but the beach itself is so enjoyable that it's worth it. There are no facilities, not even a restroom, but that's precisely why you might have it all to yourselves. We visited in the late afternoon, so the photos don't truly capture its beauty.
This beach is one of the most stunning ones we've come across during our trip in Australia. The sand is a gorgeous white and the water is a mesmerizing turquoise. It's a peaceful and secluded beach where you can easily find a spot to unwind. The walk down and up the hill is definitely worth it, highly recommended.
