This beach is a fantastic spot to spend the day with our children. There are opportunities for both intermediate and beginner surfers, as well as body boarding for the little ones!
The beach has beautiful white sandy shores with minimal rocks, making it easy to walk both on the beach and in the water. However, the wash facilities are limited, so it's recommended to stay at a nearby hotel for convenience.
After a few days of rain, we were excited to finally see the sun shining again. The beach was a great spot for walking our dogs, but it's best to avoid visiting during the busy summer months. Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo of the sign, but it seems that dogs are not allowed from December to February or around that time. The steep stairs leading down to the beach were a bit of a challenge, especially because my two large dogs were eager to pull me down faster than I could walk. We spent a good amount of time at the beach chatting with locals, playing with other dogs, and digging in the sand. There were so many surfers in the water, I lost count at over 20! It seems like this beach must have some great waves for surfing.
Lovely beach for relaxing and soaking up the sun. Limited amenities, so be sure to bring your own supplies.
This beach is considered one of the most stunning in the world, with its wide stretch of white sand and crystal-clear blue water. It's ideal for a peaceful swim on calm days, and perfect for surfing or body surfing when the waves are up. I highly recommend checking out Smith's Beach if you find yourself in the south of Western Australia.
