Ballyrisode Beach is one of those places you almost want to keep secret. The sand is soft, the water is clear, and the whole area feels really peaceful—even if it’s not the biggest beach around. It’s perfect for a quiet walk, a swim, or just sitting and listening to the waves. It does get a bit busy when the sun comes out, and the parking situation isn’t great (good luck if you arrive late), but honestly, it’s worth it for the views and the relaxed vibe. No shops or cafés nearby, so bring your own snacks and just enjoy the simplicity. If you’re looking for a beautiful, unspoiled spot away from the crowds, Ballyrisode is definitely worth a visit—even if you have to squeeze your car in somewhere.

Lovely quite beach (actually two separate ones) one with car park the other you need to walk a bit too. Beautiful views and clear water, even on slightly cloudy day it was perfect.

Beautiful place where I spent most of my summers as a child. Lovely for children as it's very sheltered from the open ocean and is shallow in most places. Plenty of ocean life to find and rock pools to explore depending on where the tide is. There's a car park and information board. No toilet facilities or wheelchair access. Worth a visit even if only to look at the views.
