It resembles a tropical beach on a sunny day. The sand is somewhat unique. You can buy good coffee and food from a small van.

This beach is stunning. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in southwest Ireland. The sand is coarse and the waters are calm, perfect for a swim. The setting is fantastic, with hills, fields, and yellow-painted farmhouses surrounding the area. The village of Allihies, located 1km above the beach, is a sight to see with its brightly colored houses. There is parking available for about 15 vehicles and a campsite directly above the beach. You can also grab some fresh tea/coffee, snacks, and cooked food from the van by the carpark.

This beach is a great spot for camping, with amenities like toilets, showers, a washing machine, tumble dryer, and a phone charging port. While the beach itself is wonderful, it's important to note that non-swimming children should be supervised in the water due to a sudden drop and deep waters. Additionally, there are a few food trucks available for coffee and snacks.

The beach was really nice, with slightly coarse sand. We were driving around the ring and unexpectedly came across the beach. We decided to stop and spent about 30 minutes sitting on the beach. It was beautiful, with a gentle breeze, interesting rock formations, and a coffee stand nearby. The water wasn't completely clear of seaweed, but it was good enough for swimming. There was some plastic, trash, and fishing gear, but not a lot. Any amount is too much, but it could have been worse. If you're in the area, definitely check it out.
