Several methods of angling are used to catch pike. The Cliffs of Moher Express service is a non-guided shuttle service from Galway direct to the Cliffs of Moher. Spend approximately 2 hours exploring on your own. Departing Galway at 8am and 12pm, this service is ideal for those looking for an independant adventure. Admission to the Cliffs and the eco- friendly visitor center are included in your ticket!

We depart Galway at 10:00 and begin your tour by exploring the Burren region. The first stop is Dunguaire Castle and Kinvara, where we take approximately 15 minutes to view the outside of the castle. Continuing on to Poulnabrone Dolmen, one of the most ancient religious sites in Ireland at 5800 years old, we make another short stop of approximately 10-15 minutes. We then stop in the quaint fishing village of Doolin to enjoy some lunch for around 45-50 minutes (lunch is NOT included in the ticket cost). After that, we arrive at the Cliffs of Moher where we have a stop of 2 hours of free time. This is the highlight of the day with ample time to walk the cliff edge and enjoy one of the most incredible natural sites in the world! Once finished, we return to Galway via the Coast Road with spectacular views over the Aran Islands and Galway Bay, returning to Galway city centre at 18:15.

On your journey South to the Cliffs of Moher, listen to your expert driver/guide share the history of the Burren region, an area of exposed limestone terrain, jagged sea-side cliffs and rare flora. Explore a bay-side castle and discover the karst landscape inside the Aillwee Cave before arriving to the Cliffs of Moher. Discovered in 1952, the Cave itself sits 200ft (70 m) below the Burren limestone landscape. Equipped with a hard hat and in the hands of an experienced and knowledgeable guide, you’ll take the journey through an intricate system of passages and pathways, learning as you go how the Cave was formed. It’s an awe-inspiring experience – and you’ll immediately feel the excitement and wonder of the Cave’s early explorers and adventurists, way back when. As you complete your descent, prepare for a moment of eerie calm, pitch black and complete silence – giving way to a sudden flood of light within the majestic cathedral-like dome of the Cave. The force of nature that is Europe’s Largest Stalactite takes centre stage: a vast structure reaching down from the roof of the Cave, catching the light, reflecting colours and detail like a massive, ornate glass chandelier. This showstopper is 7.3 metres long and weighs around 10 tonnes. An unforgettable experience.
