Fanad Lighthouse and Doe Castle Tour

Darmowa anulacja

Situated between the Mulroy Bay and the glacial fjord Lough Swilly is the Fanad peninsula, one of Ireland's best kept secrets. On this tour, I will transport you along the winding, coastal roads towards Fanad Lighthouse, one of County Donegal's Wild Atlantic Way signature points. Here you can stroll along the grounds of a functioning, historical Lighthouse, taking in the views of the ocean and bird life. On your journey, I will enthral you with stories and legends of the peninsula. Learn about the creation of 'Football Special', Ramelton's answer to Coca-Cola. Visit Rathmullan, the site of one of the most important events in Irish history, 'The Flight of the Earls'. Then cross the politically placed 'Bridge to Nowhere'. We'll walk the ruins of Doe castle which overlooks Sheephaven bay and hear of the clan that built it. This tour is held in a fun, relaxed way with plenty of photo opportunities, music, (bad) jokes and features coast, castles and Craic!

Derrie Danders: A Self-Guided Audio Tour of the Riverside and South City

Welcome to the historic city of Derry / Londonderry, and to this walking tour focused on the city’s maritime and industrial heritage. We’ll ramble along the River Foyle from the Peace Bridge to the Craigavon Bridge, before returning to our starting point with a stroll through the city. You’ll see the spot where Scottish settlers left for America and, a little further up the river, the spot where the city’s patron saint Columba left for Scotland. You’ll hear personal stories, legendary myths, and a few tall tales along the way.

Such a beautiful beach. You walk on and once you get past the dunes you are treated to the most beautiful view. We were so lucky to be there on the night of the aurora. It was so special and the perfect place to watch. The beach is super clean, the bins (although they fill quickly, are emptied daily. Highly recommend a visit, the car park isnt huge but if you are lucky enough to get a spot you will have a lovely day at the beach.
