At a second entrance to the convent is the cell of Padre Pio and the crypt where the body of Padre Pio was housed before being transferred to the nearby sanctuary. The visit continues with the "new" church, built for the explicit desire of Padre Pio, with the intention of being able to accommodate in an appropriate manner the considerable flow of thousands of pilgrims that flowed ever more numerous to San Giovanni Rotondo. The tour ends at the Sanctuary, designed by architect Renzo Piano, one of the largest churches in Italy, capable of holding up to 7,000 people.

The excursion includes a guided tour along the beautiful south coast of Vieste, crossing some of the most picturesque bays of the Gargano, spectacular cliffs, natural ravines and sea caves visible from the outside. During navigation, our staff will illustrate the main points of interest in Italian and English, offering guests a pleasant and engaging experience. In addition, the boat will approach the sea caves to allow guests to admire them up close and take beautiful photographs in total safety. The itinerary runs from Vieste to the famous Baia delle Zagare, along about 20 km of coastline characterized by rich Mediterranean vegetation and beautiful pebble beaches.
