Hill of Crosses is a truly unique site which will take your breath away! It is is a site of pilgrimage dating back to 1830ties when people started to place crosses here to pray for their loved ones they've lost in the battles (Lithuanian - Polish commonwealth uprising against Russian Empire). In Soviet times this place served as a peaceful protest action against Soviet regime as they tried to destroy the place many times while locals kept coming back and placing more crosses all the time. The Hill of Crosses was visited by Pope John Paul II back in 1993 and since then this place has become very popular - not only between locals but also tourists from all over the world! Don't be intimidated by the fact that it is a pilgrimage site. Even if you're not religious, please note that everyone is welcome to visit this beautiful sight as long as you respect everyone else visiting it!

But please don't be intimidated by the fact that it is a religious site - everyone is welcome to visit this unique site - just as long as you respect the place and crosses that carry different stories with them! You will have a guided tour of the place - hear the story behind it, how it all started! We'll point out some traditional Lithuanian crosses, explain some symbols that can be seen there and give you overall information about the country, culture and its history. After the guided tour you will have free time to explore the place by yourselves - take some beautiful photos and just to take it all in as it really is breathtaking! Going there for the sunrise time will allow you to enjoy the place with no tourists around. And save a lot of time as you will be back in Riga by noon if not earlier!

The Riga Beer Bike can carry up to 15 persons and you don’t have to pedal for the full hour you are onboard. 12 will pedal while the other 3 can sit back and enjoy a drink. During the hour long ride, each person will have at least 2 pints. There is a driver who will be staying totally sober, but a bit of your effort needs to be put into the pedalling. There cannot be a better way to see the beautiful City and find out a lot about the place, than travelling on this bike with an English speaking driver. There is a difference between this trip and others, and that is that you have to get there and back by yourself.

Our Daily Bike Tours explore the historic suburbs of Riga, covering the most interesting sections of Riga. The bike tour rides along the river before entering the Moscow district. The area which became the Jewish ghetto during WWII is one of the most interesting areas in Riga. We then explore the trendy Central district to find some nice bars and cafes and street art. These tours ride off the tourist route, showing a different, more realistic side of Riga, from the comfortable saddle of a city bike.
