You’ll traverse narrow trails, climb some steep sections, and enjoy expansive viewpoints overlooking cascading waters and deep canyons. Please note: This trek is medium level, but some parts can be challenging and may be difficult for seniors, young children, or those with limited mobility. We recommend sturdy shoes for uneven terrain. Along the way, enjoy refreshing swims in natural pools carved by the falls and a well-deserved waterfall massage. Ideal for active families and those comfortable with moderate hiking, this approximately 3-hour trek allows time to relax and swim in tranquil surroundings. This experience invites guests to share a moment of Mauritian family life in a peaceful rural sugarcane village in the north of the island, near an old historic sugar mill. The workshop takes place in our traditional outdoor family kitchen beside a small farm, surrounded by nature and the rhythms of village life. Together we prepare a full Mauritian meal using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, sometimes cooking over a wood fire as many families still do. Guests participate in the cooking before we sit down to enjoy the dishes in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Sometimes members of my family are present, adding to the warm and authentic spirit of sharing food, stories, and traditions around the table.
